Although they are the same grape--Pinot Gris and Pinot Grigio are usually different stylistically. Pinot Gris often will be barrel aged on its lees for a period of time, whereas Pinot Grigio tends to be tank fermented under temperature control, resulting in a crisper more fruit forward style. Our Kalyra Pinot Gris is a hybrid of these tow styles which enhances the mouth feel.
